Science with Milo the Lab

16th August 2019

Meet Milo #AD

This is Milo. He is a purebred Labrador and he will soon be six years old. He has been a part of our family since he was a tiny puppy. Mister Milo is a real character and he is very, very food oriented.

Anyone who has ever visited my house will know there is one undeniable truth and it is this – Milo is always hungry. Always. Please don’t worry, he is not a neglected, mistreated dog – far from it. We feed him via the grazing method. His bowl is kept topped up with complete dog food and he is free to have a little nibble whenever he pleases. So Milo always has food available to him, usually supermarket own brand stuff.

What Milo loves more than anything, is human food. He will sit near the table, sometimes even directly underneath the table, in the hope of being the lucky finder of dropped food or better yet, actually being tossed some scraps. Once a year, we let Milo sit AT the table with us, but that’s another story for another day.

Hills Science Plan – an opportunity.

We were sent a bag of Hills Science Plan for Milo to try  and he was very excited. Did I mention he’s a very smart boy? He knew he was getting something good, just look at him!

I was very impressed when I opened the (resealable) bag, – the contents smelt good and Milo accepted a nugget of the new food straight from my hand. Now, he will generally do that with dog treats and human foodstuffs but he doesn’t usually take his regular dried dog food from anyone by hand. This was a positive sign!

I poured a portion out into Milo’s dish and he tucked straight in. We sat at the table for our meal and wonder of wonders, Milo didn’t come pestering – he was happy to stick with his own dish – what a revelation!

Here comes the science bit!

As an owner, obviously, my dog’s health and well-being are very important to me. Hills are all about nutrition and feeding your pets the best quality foods in order to enrich their lives. As pets age, their nutritional needs change – Hills have developed foods to match every stage of development.

The website will even tell you where Hills Science Plan is sold locally to you, broken down into two categories, stores and veterinary surgeries, which is really helpful.

The Verdict.

As you can see from the video, Milo loved his Hills Science Plan food and I will definitely be ordering him more now I know the full benefits to his health. As an owner I’m happy that my dog is eating food that is good for him that he clearly enjoys – and the resealable bag is a really cool addition, I love that!

If you have a much loved dog or cat, I would recommend you check out Hills. My pet loves it – maybe yours will too?

Indeed. Milo T.P. is the hungriest boy. But also the cutest and the goodest.
