About the author

Jonathan Whitelaw is an author, journalist and broadcaster.

 

After working on the frontline of Scottish politics, he moved into journalism. Subjects he has covered have varied from breaking news, the arts, culture and sport to fashion, music and even radioactive waste – with everything in between.

 

He’s also a regular reviewer and talking head on shows for the BBC and STV.

 

HellCorp, from Urbane Publications, is his second novel following his debut, Morbid Relations.

My review

This is such a great book. If you want something quick and easy to read, this book only has 50 pages – I devoured it really quickly.

Seriously clever, witty dialogue – a quirky story about the Devil and Halloween – just brilliant. Really enjoyable and left me wanting much, much more. Tale as old as time – would you sell your soul to the Devil? (well, would you?!)

Short snappy chapters, but the story doesn’t suffer for that – there is intrigue and mystery a-plenty. A fab read for this time of year – 5/5 stars – highly recommended.

As mentioned earlier, all proceeds from every sale are going to the very worthwhile and deserving charity Samaritans.
